Ruth Thomas

I love turning wood on my lathe...I need to practice more often than I have in the past few years. I will try to post some pictures of my work. I have turned Christmas ornaments most often but also do boxes, bowls and platters. From 1996 to 2009 I made ornaments for my five children, eleven grandchildren and now five great grandchildren. I think I missed a year. I also make some on my scroll saw. I give away most of what I make but would like to start a website to sell some items.

Good Stuff
by: Virgil Tongish

Those are really nice turnings, and giving them to the Stars of tomorrow is a good thing. My Grandmother never had time for anything like that, 13 children to care for Cook, and Sew, besides raising chickens, separating milk and selling cream....I wish she could have done something like that....It a part of being immortal. I will try to get into the stream with some of my woodcarvings.....

These are beautiful and so rich looking. I'm going to tell my friends about the site.
